Enjoy the simple things in life down on the farm! Wander through nature trails, help feed the animals, enjoy a hearty breakfast al fresco at your own picnic table or simply lie back and relax in a soothing hot tub.
With so many ways to relax and unwind at Wigwam® Holidays Water Hall Farm, you won’t be in a hurry to leave the luxury of your en-suite Wigwam® camping pod. When you do venture out, there are lots of ways to enjoy your holiday in the local area.
This glamping site is perfect for couples and families who enjoy a calm and quiet holiday in the great outdoors. The farm sits on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding hills and countryside. Close by, there are nature trails and bike paths crisscrossing through the Sutton Bank National Park, perfect for nature lovers, hikers and bikers of all abilities and interests.
Kids young and old will love spending a day at the many adventure and theme parks in the wider area. Flamingo Land and Lightwater Valley theme parks are both a 30 to 45-minute drive away and will keep everyone entertained.
Camp Hill Adventure Park in Bedale is also nearby, located a half-hour drive from Thirsk along the A6055. The park boasts a wealth of activities, from quad biking and zip wiring to crazy golf and fort building. The swing park has 12 different types of swings, including a thrilling treetop surfboard. Pack a picnic to make the most of the day - there are even BBQ areas if you want something more substantial.
For something altogether more civilised, there is much to see and learn from a wander through the halls and garden of the Sutton Park stately home. This stunning 18th-century home was the film set for the BBC period drama, Gentleman Jack, but its glamorous reputation was in place long before the cameras arrived.
The Georgian architecture of the house creates the perfect setting for the many galleries of artworks, collected throughout the centuries, while the gardens have won awards for their design and beauty.
It’s also very easy to hop on a train to the City of York for a great selection of restaurants, cinemas, museums and shops. This beautiful and historic city is alive with music, people and nightlife. And what better way to end a busy day of sightseeing than returning home to the peace and quiet of Wigwam® Holidays Water Hall farm?
Wrap up in a cosy blanket, pour yourself a mug (or glass) of something tasty and enjoy the magic of glamping in the North Yorkshire Moors. Settle down around your very own BBQ and firepit while enjoying the sounds of nature and the stars in the dark night sky as you relax in the great outdoors with no distractions.
