This site is a Cosy Outdoors glamping favourite and you’ll soon see why. The whole site has been thoughtfully put together so that guests of all sizes, ages and interests can unwind and enjoy a peaceful holiday in a lush green setting. Each of the en-suite wooden glamping pods sits in its own secluded area, giving you lots of privacy and personal space.  Four of the six Wigwam® cabins come with their own private, electric hot tub with a canopy, making for a very glamorous afternoon. It’s easy to enjoy a glass or two of bubbles and feel yourself unwind with views across wide-open green fields to the picturesque village of Northallerton.

For something a little more energetic, there is a large playing field perfect for getting a game of football or rounders on the go. It’s a big enough space so kids can have a kick about or throw a frisbee without worrying about nearby windows or cars. Additionally, a children’s play park was added to the site in 2019. The park sits in a car-free paddock in clear view of the glamping cabins. This means you can enjoy the views and relax at your private picnic table safe in the knowledge that the little ones are safe and having a ball.

If you don’t want your family pooch to miss out on the fun, you’ll be glad to know that dogs are permitted (but you need to book them in!) and that there’s plenty of space onsite and in the surrounding areas to explore and give them a good run around.
With so many ways to chill out and enjoy some downtime at Wigwam® Holidays Sedgewell Barn, you could be forgiven for choosing to stay onsite for your whole holiday! When you do venture out, there’s lots to explore in the local area. 

Wigwam® Holidays Sedgewell Barn is ideal for couples and families who enjoy getting out and about in the great outdoors. The site is perfectly placed between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, so there are many bracing walks, romantic picnics and cycles through picturesque country lanes to be had. 

The Yorkshire Dales can be enjoyed in lots of different ways - on foot, on a bike or a Cosy Outdoors favourite - steam train! The Wensleydale Railway takes you through the Dales from the Vale of Mowbray, letting you sit back and take in the views by steam train or heritage diesel as it winds its way through pretty villages and along the way. 

If you fancy an altogether more modern train journey, hop on the train at Ainderby Steeple Green (3 miles from Wigwam® Holidays Sedgewell Barn) and spend the day in the vibrant City of York. Famous for its rich history and architecture, there are lots of great tourist attractions here to keep you busy. You will enjoy your day trip all the more when you return to the tranquillity of your glamping site, fire up your hot tub and rest your weary legs after a day marching around the city.
Whatever you decide to do with your days in Yorkshire, make sure your evenings are kept just for you. Wrap up in a cosy blanket, settle down around your glowing campfire, pour yourself a mug (or glass) of something tasty and enjoy the magic of glamping in the Yorkshire countryside. Yes, life really is so much simpler down on the farm. And that’s just the way we like it.
