Glamping at Wigwam® Holidays Ribble Valley is a lovely way to unwind and enjoy a peaceful holiday in a beautiful setting in Lancashire. Set among 60 acres of lush, green countryside there’s no greater way to connect with the great outdoors.
The glamping site has so much space, it’s a real rural retreat. If you’re glamping with kids, this is the perfect spot for them to unplug from their screens and roam free. There’s so much room to fly kites or play with balls, swing high on the swings at the playpark, find the perfect hiding spot for a game of hide and seek or simply roll around on the grass and make daisy chains.
If that sounds too energetic for you then you can relax outside your luxury glamping pod while the young ones do their thing!
Wigwam® Holidays Ribble Valley is made up of 8 beautiful and welcoming wooden glamping cabins. They are each kitted out with luxurious accessories and facilities - making it the obvious choice for a glamping break in the Lancashire countryside. Each cabin has en-suite washing and bathroom facilities - including an electric shower. There’s a fitted kitchenette, complete with dining table and chairs, electric hob, microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. The cabins come with all the essentials to make your glamping break go smoothly from the start - crockery, cutlery, cooking pans and utensils, electric heating and lighting and beautiful double glazed doors which open onto your own private picnic table and benches.
The glamping site is so well situated that you’ll soon find you don’t have to venture too far from the site for activities and adventure. There are several beautiful country walks and paths leading directly from the glamping site and you can walk to the Ribble Valley River for stone skimming, swimming and of course, picnics on the river bank.
The closest village to Wigwam® Holidays Ribble Valley is Langho, just 2 miles away. This is where you can stock up on some glamping treats at the shops and there’s a couple of take-away restaurants if you fancy a Chinese or Indian feast around your roaring campfire at night.
For some proper sightseeing, the town of Clitheroe is nearby - just 4 miles away from the site. This is where you can wander around Clitheroe Castle and the ruins of Whalley Abbey or splash around in the swimming pool and leisure centre. There’s also a market that comes to town three days a week where you can stock up on local produce to enjoy back at the cabin.
Once you’ve enjoyed your day’s adventuring be sure to save some energy for an evening back at your Wigwam® cabin. Build a roaring campfire, toast a few marshmallows and sit back and enjoy the delights of the night sky above. There’s no better way to unwind and get yourself ready for a great night’s sleep before setting off on new adventures in the morning.
