The Balbeg Rabbie Burns Lodge is the largest building available on any CosyOutdoor location, making it perfect for big groups and events! Situated in South Ayrshire on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, you won’t be short of scenic views or peaceful forest walks to enjoy. With sleeping for up to 16, this lodge is great for big occasions. Bring the whole family and experience the wonderful Ayrshire countryside!
The seaside town of Ayr is a must-visit and only a 34 minute drive away. Though best known as the birthplace of the famous Scottish poet (and namesake of this site) Rabbie Burns, Ayr has a lot to offer. Why not pack a picnic and take a trip to Ayr Beach? Walk along the southern Scottish coastline while admiring the views of Ailsa Craig and the Isle of Arran. If the weather allows it, you might even get a glimpse of Plada, a tiny island just off the coast of Arran.
It would be unwise of course just to ignore the poet for which the town is famous. If you’re interested in the man behind ‘To a Mouse’ and ‘Auld Lang Syne’, there is a museum and visitor centre that is well worth a visit. Take a tour around the cottage where Burns was born and marvel over its collection of artefacts while you learn about his life. You can even enjoy some haggis, neeps and tatties in the cafe when you’re finished!
If you don’t fancy getting out and about, you can enjoy your holiday without going far from Balbeg Rabbie Burns Lodge. The building has 7 bedrooms (2 double en-suites, 4 twins and 1 bunk room), another 2 shower rooms, one large lounge/dining room and a newly fitted kitchen. Each room is as comfortable and luxurious as the last. Equipped with everything you could need, you’ll love relaxing and unwinding in the comfort of this magnificent cabin. If you want a breath of fresh air, just open the door to almost 300 acres of woodland and grounds, complete with a fish pond and two different parks for the children to play in.
