Wigwam® Holidays Pot-a-Doodle Do is a bright and bustling glamping site in North Northumberland. A glamping village in its own right, there’s plenty to keep you busy at Pot-a-Doodle Do and it’s the ideal base for getting out and about to explore the Northumberland coast and the Scottish Borders.
This pretty and vibrant Wigwam® village is made up of 26 picturesque wooden glamping pods. They range in size and facilities, but they are all warm and inviting and come with the basics for a great glamping break - such as kettles, fridges and outdoor dining space, campfire and BBQ. You can hire additional items such as bedding and firewood to make your stay even more perfect.
Wigwam® cabins range in size from the Wee Brave Wigwam® cabin (sleeping 2-3) to the Big Chief Wigwam® which can accommodate up to 5. If you’re seeking a truly luxurious glamping break try to snap up an en-suite Running Water Wigwam® which sleeps 4 and has an en-suite bathroom.
Wigwam® Holidays Pot-a-Doodle Do has been designed with your enjoyment at the very heart of the whole site. There’s so much going on you could be forgiven for staying onsite for your whole Northumbrian glamping break! If you're glamping with children there’s heaps to keep them occupied (so you can chill back at the Wigwam® cabin with a good book). There is plenty of space to run around and play ball games or fly kites, and there’s a safe and secure children’s play area so you know they’re fine as they spread their wings.
Cooking onsite couldn't be easier. If you don’t have your own cooking equipment there's a well equipped communal kitchen and dining area and there’s a sheltered BBQ hut, as well as your own campfire which you can cook on. For those nights where you’d like someone else to cook, visit the delicious onsite restaurant and bistro which serves great food and drinks throughout the day.
One of our favourite things to do onsite is get our sleeves rolled up and enjoy the arts and crafts activities in the interactive arts hub. Perfect for times when you’re exhausted from eating and playing!
The glamping site has a nearby fishing lake which you can access as a guest. And it’s an ideal spot for walking along the Northumberland coastline, or whiling away an afternoon on one of the many beaches. Walk or bike along The Cuthbert Way or go for a pony trek to the holy isle of Lindisfarne, visit the magical Alnwick Castle, or enjoy an afternoon at Paxton House. One thing is for sure, this is an area of Britain where you cannot possibly get bored!
The reception, onsite shop and restaurant at Wigwam® Holidays Pot-a-Doodle Do is the ideal spot to start planning adventures. Information packs and tourist info are available to plan your trip and the welcoming staff have heaps of local knowledge and are always happy to recommend activities and adventures, whether your interest is golfing, fishing, cycling, walking or fine dining - there will be something nearby to suit your tastes. .
