Penbugle Organic Farm Wigwams®
Description
On the edge of a beautiful organic farm in the South East of Cornwall sits Wigwam® Holidays Penbugle. This glamping site is close to the seaside towns of Looe and Liskeard and makes for a wonderful base for exploring this lovely area of Cornwall.
This small and friendly site is award-winning and it’s easy to see why. Eight picturesque Wigwam® cabins are sprinkled throughout the site which sits on the edge of Penbugle Organic Farm. The glamping site was a finalist in the 2019/20 Cornish Tourism Awards for glamping and alternative accommodation, so you can be sure the owners will keep up the excellent work of welcoming glampers to their site and making your holiday special.
The cabins are heated and insulated and sleep up to six people, so you can be sure of good company and feeling cosy and warm on even the chilliest of days. Each cabin has the basic equipment to keep you going through the day - like a kettle, a toaster and a fridge - and there are a picnic table and firepit just outside, with a communal kitchen area just a stone’s throw away for larger meals.
There’s a lot of space between each glamping pod and a huge field for playing in. If you tire of playing rounders or football, why not take a walk around the beautiful working farm or paint some beautiful pottery in the crafting barn? There are lots of beautiful country walks to enjoy around the site, and the roads are quiet for cycling trips, too.
Beyond the peace and tranquillity of Wigwam® Holidays Penbugle is a world of adventure, activities and sightseeing to enjoy. The glamping site is just 4 miles from East Looe beach, and it’s the ideal base if you’re planning on going to the Looe Live! music festival. After dancing the night away to your favourite bands, escape the noisy fields and enjoy some peace and quiet back at the farm.
The site is also perfect for catching the classic tourist attractions of the area, such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Bodmin Jail, the Eden Project and long walks along the rugged coastline or the wilds of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite mines and ancient standing stones.
Adventure seekers are also well catered for in this wonderful part of Cornwall, with water sports along the nearby Fowey River and climbing and caving available at Adrenalin Quarry on the outskirts of Liskeard.
Don’t forget to spend time relaxing onsite around your own roaring log fire. There’s nothing quite like watching flames lick at your marshmallows, the stars in the sky sparkling like diamonds above your head. And when it’s time to turn in, knowing a toasty and cosy night’s sleep lies ahead makes all your adventuring and sightseeing all the better.
