Montrave Estate

Wigwam® Holidays Montrave Estate is a wide crescent of picturesque wooden glamping cabins which sit on the former grand lawns of a large country house on the Montrave Estate. The cabins are all complete with an en suite bathroom with a shower and each enjoys views over the Firth of Forth and Angus Hills from their private picnic table. 

Whilst the estate is a green and peaceful idyll, seemingly far away from busy modern life, it’s close to the village of Leven and is part of the East Neuk of Fife. This is an area known for its picturesque fishing villages, long sandy beaches, fresh seafood, world-famous golf courses and a thriving live music scene. 

As well as lovely scenery, guests can enjoy long lunches and relaxed breakfasts outside or inside their cabin as well as a BBQ or a roaring campfire in a deluxe firepit. Two cabins come with bookable private hot tubs making it easy to relax on your glamping trip.  

You can stroll through the 250-acre estate and explore the surrounding mature woodlands. Keep a look out for the wildlife around the estate, including badgers, red squirrels, wild deer and a variety of birds including swans.  

The East Neuk of Fife area offers a wide range of activities and places to visit.  Beaches at Elie, Lower Largo and Leven are all worth stopping at, while kite surfing and beach buggies are available at West Sands in St Andrews. Keil’s Den, run by the Woodland Trust Scotland, has lots of great nature walks and bike tracks available. Meanwhile, the Elie Chain Walk is a must for lovers of coastal walks. 

The ancient university town of St Andrews is just 13 miles away from Wigwam® Holidays Montrave Estate and has a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops to choose from. There are more ideas for how to make the most of your holiday in your welcome pack in your cabin. 

The site is open all year round and is a favourite glamping choice for families, couples and large groups celebrating special occasions. Some cabins are dog-friendly, so you can even bring your four-legged pal along for the fun.
