Largo Law
Description
The wonderful thing about glamping in the East Neuk of Fife is that you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a peaceful and simpler way of life while only being an hour away from Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital city. The East Neuk is a wonderful collection of picturesque fishing villages, rolling green fields and sea views as far as the eye can see. And what better way to experience the joys of this lovely area than from the comfort of a luxury glamping cabin at Wigwam® Holidays Largo Law?
This pretty glamping site sits on the fringe of a traditional Fife farm, with views across the fields and far beyond over the Firth of Forth. From your own private picnic bench, you can watch sea birds swoop and dive as boats of all sizes make their way along the horizon.
The site has six en-suite luxury Wigwam® Cabins, each one set back from the next, giving a sense of privacy and space. The cabins are insulated and heated so you’ll stay cosy and toasty whatever our wonderful weather decides to do. Your cabin is well kitted out with all you need for a relaxing stay, and if you forget your bedding (or can’t face squeezing a couple of duvets in your car), you can book bedding packs. It’s glamping made easy!
Onsite, you’ll find lots of wide spaces for playing and running around, and you can venture out to the farm for a peaceful walk. These walks lead onto wider paths and country roads which are a dream to cycle around. The onsite bike storage areas mean you can bring your bikes for wider adventures without worrying about where to store your wheels.
Wigwam® Holidays Largo Law is a fabulous base for discovering all things Fife has to offer. Spend your days poking around the wonderful coastal villages and towns of the East Neuk, filled with antique shops, folk museums and boat trips. If you’re staying in the summertime, you’ll be delighted by the summer fete and fair events on offer in the area. And in colder months, you can warm yourself back up after a brisk walkin traditional pubs, inns and modern bistros. The whole area is famous for its fish and chips, so make sure you grab some while you’re in Anstruther or Crail.
A little further from the East Neuk is the ancient town of St Andrews, made famous by its ancient university and the fact that the future King of England met his future queen while both were students there. It’s also widely recognised as the home of golf. It’s an extremely picturesque town with plenty of tourist attractions - and perhaps a round or two of golf We love the sound of that. The town is steeped in history and tradition and makes for a wonderful day trip.
Sometimes you want a bit of hustle and bustle on our holiday, so if you have time, a day out in Edinburgh is not to be missed. Wigwam® Holidays Largo Law is just 6 miles from the train station in Cupar. Enjoy a one hour, scenic train journey along the Fife coast and over the iconic Forth Rail Bridge and before you know it you’re in the midst of city life and all its surprises and heady delights.
Central Edinburgh is small enough to get around by foot, and you can be sure to have weary legs after a day of shopping on Princes Street, marching up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle or picking your way through the art galleries along The Mound.
Whether you spend your time on the beaches of the East Neuk, nature spotting from the peak of the Lomond Hills or people watching on the busy streets of St Andrews or Edinburgh, there’s one thing you can be sure of: settling down around your own campfire is the very best way to end your busy day.
Unwind with some tasty food and a hot cuppa and let the night sky, the sounds of the sleeping farm and the rush of the sea in the distance work their magic on you before you rest your head in your comfy bed, in your cosy Wigwam® cabin.
