Glamping in the Cotswolds is a wonderful way to connect with this beautiful area of Gloucestershire, and you’ll soon find that Wigwam® Holidays Evenlode is the ideal base to get the most out of your glamping break.
The glamping site sits in a small valley, a small corner of a traditional working farm. There are six inviting wooden Wigwam® cabins and each one has incredible views across the 400-acre farm and over to Adlestrop Hill. Evening views from your outdoor dining area are always stunning.
Wigwam® Holidays Evenlode has been designed with your relaxation and comfort in mind. The glamping pods are the perfect size for a family or group of 4. There’s a double bed and a double pull out sofa bed, each with comfortable mattresses and under bed storage to keep things neat.
An en-suite bathroom with shower, sink, WC and heated towel rail is a welcome addition to the glamping experience - no more sprinting back from the chilly shower block with wet hair of a morning! Three of the cabins also have a wood-fired hot tub, which is the height in relaxation. There’s no better place to unwind and gaze at the stars than from the comfort of your own hot tub!
The cabins also come fitted with a well-equipped kitchenette. A 2 ring hob, fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave mean you can rustle up a tasty feast in no time and there is a dining table and chairs to eat or play games at later. There is a TV with a DVD player which is always welcome if the weather keeps you indoors for a few hours.
If you don’t fancy venturing too far from your glamping pod, the site has The Shed where a selection of DVD's and games are stored. There is also a lovely walk down by the river at the bottom end of the farm and you can take part in horse riding (by arrangement), fun fishing and even hire bikes to explore the area further.
On days where you want to get out and experience something new, the farm is a short drive to Stow-on-the-Wold. A lovely chocolate box village with little shops, galleries and cafes. You can stock up on your favourite glamping treats here, or spend the day seeing the sights - Fosse Gallery celebrates local talent and St Edward’s Church is awe-inspiring.
If you get the chance, make the journey to the Gloucestershire Steam Railway which is just 24 minutes drive away from Wigwam® Holidays Evenlode along the B roads. The steam rail experience is a truly wonderful way to view the changing landscape and is loved by both children and grown-ups.
