Bristol View Wigwams®
Description
Bristol View Glamping is a homely collection of luxury wooden lodges and Wigwam® cabins that form a pretty and peaceful glamping site. The site is set among lush green fields and is surrounded by big skies and a panoramic view over the countryside and to the vibrant city of Bristol. This is a glamping site that truly must be seen to be believed.
The site is made up of two luxury lodges, sleeping up to 8 people, and three Wigwam® Cabins that sleep up to 4. The site is glamping luxury at its best, with ensuite toilets and shower rooms, dining areas, fully fitted kitchens and electric heating throughout. This means you stay cosy and comfy even on the chillier days.
To add to your glamping experience, the Wigwam® glamping cabins come with their own outdoor dining areas, complete with a BBQ and firepit so you can roast marshmallows and enjoy basking in the glow of your roaring fire with the bright lights of Bristol twinkling in the distance.
And if you’re planning a hen weekend, a stag-do or a celebration of any other kind, this is the site for you. Bristol View actively encourages larger groups and parties for whole site bookings. This is your chance to party in the great outdoors with your favourite people - completely free from worries about upsetting the neighbours.
Bristol View Glamping is the perfect base for enjoying the many celebrations in Bristol’s busy event calendar. It’s the ideal location for admiring the many firework displays that light up the sky throughout the year and the hot air balloons that float past during the annual four-day Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which takes place every summer.
And if you can tear yourself away from the wonderful views, you’re spoiled for choice for things to do in and around the area.
With endless countryside all around, there are plenty of lovely walks and cycle paths to explore. A short cycle (or an even shorter car journey) from your Wigwam® Cabin is the delightfully named Chew Moo’s Ice Cream Parlour. They serve up to 12 different homemade flavours, all made from the milk of their own Guernsey cows.
Something that will keep everybody interested is one of Britain’s most jaw-dropping natural landmarks: Cheddar Gorge and Caves. As you explore this wonderful site, you’ll learn about its prehistoric inhabitants as well as the secrets of the smugglers and looters who used its deep caverns to full advantage. A guided tour will give you the chance to admire the dramatic subterranean stalactites, and if that’s not thrilling enough for you, there are adventure activities aplenty in the venue’s underground escape rooms and climbing zones. This is not for the faint-hearted but a lot of fun all the same.
Bristol, located just a few miles up the road, is a city alive with music, colour, architecture and energy, so a day (or two) spent exploring this vibrant metropolis is highly recommended. After all, where else can you enjoy such a huge array of bright, political and thought-provoking street art by artists like Bansky or walk along a bridge suspended an impressive 250ft above the water below? The Clifton Suspension Bridge is a sight to see and a fantastic way to view the city. For different views of the River Avon, hop on a water bus and visit the impressive SS Great Britain ship before stopping in at a local bar and sampling a pint of home-brewed scrumpy cider.
Bristol View Glamping is the perfect campsite for a relaxing glamping break. With so many options for activities, sights, thrills and entertainment, there is only one thing you’ll be disappointed about, and that will be having to go home!
