Experience the freedom and glory of the Welsh mountains on this beautiful glamping site in mid-Wales.
Wigwam® Holidays Brecon sits below Aberyscir Hill, on the border of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The site is close to the town of Brecon and is just over an hour from Swansea and Cardiff and two hours from Cheltenham. Its location makes it the perfect base to enjoy a calm and peaceful glamping holiday with easy access to all that central Wales has to offer.
This picturesque glamping site is nestled on a 100-acre family farm. It sits at the heart of the mid-Wales countryside, surrounded by farmland, woodlands and views out to the hills. It’s so pretty you won’t feel the need to rush away from the site.
Instead, relax in the glorious scenery, collect your own free-range eggs from the neighbouring chickens and wander around the 100-acre farm. Each of the six Wigwam® cabins has its own outdoor dining area, fire pit and BBQ as well as glorious views across the surrounding hills. There’s no better setting for a delicious breakfast or lunch while you plan the rest of your day.
Wigwam® Holidays Brecon sits within a designated Dark Sky zone, so night time is a true delight for casual stargazers and seasoned astronomers alike. Build a roaring campfire or slide into the wonderful wood-fired hot tub and relax while the majestic night sky shows off its wonders above your head.
If you can tear yourself away from this wonderful place, it’s impossible to ignore the wonderful Brecon Beacons National Park right on your doorstep, and we highly recommend planning a day or two for exploring this beautiful, ever-changing landscape. Covering 520 square miles, the area has many charming villages and towns, so there are lots of wonderful places to stop and enjoy a pint or a spot of lunch before heading off for the next adventure.
Walk and trek in the hills, cave and geocache in the geopark, sail on the lakes, forage in the woods and moors and cycle along the mountain bike trails and take part in the many exciting events hosted throughout the park all through the year. Whatever your passion might be, you’ll find plenty of exciting opportunities in this wonderful national park.
Whatever time of year you visit this stunning area of Wales, you’re sure to find a festival or cultural event nearby. Whether it’s the Hay Festival for book lovers, the Green Man Festival focusing on indie music and the arts, the Brecon Jazz Festival for cool cats or the Abergavenny Food Festival for foodies, the area is buzzing with events and experiences to keep you busy on your glamping break.
